Is not pressure cleaning faster and cheaper? +
Upfront, yes. But pressure washing strips the protective coating on concrete and terracotta tiles, cracks aged tiles, and voids most manufacturer warranties. The mould also grows back within weeks because the spore remains. Softwash costs more upfront but lasts 12 to 24 months and protects the tile - which is why it is manufacturer-recommended.
How often should I clean my roof? +
In coastal NSW, every 12 to 18 months for full softwash. Properties inland or with low tree cover can stretch to 2 to 3 years. Visible black streaks or green patches mean the roof is overdue.
What about solar panels on the roof? +
We work around solar panels safely. Softwash solutions are safe for panel surfaces, and we can include a warranty-safe panel clean while we are on the roof. Panels are never pressure-washed or chemically spray-cleaned.
Do I need to be home? +
No. Most roof softwash jobs are completed with the homeowner at work. We just need safe access to the roof and external tap. You receive before/after photos and a completion report the same day.
